About BidOrbit

BidOrbit is a bidding leaderboard rendered as a live 3D solar system. The highest bidder owns the Sun. The next eight highest own a planet, in order, out to Neptune. Everyone else orbits further out — in the Kuiper List. Spots are labelled by orbit: SOL is the Sun and first place, then Orbit I (Mercury) through Orbit VIII (Neptune).

Rank is what you pay. Outbid the current holder of any spot — planet or Kuiper — at any time to take it from them. There's no lock-in and no tiebreaker beyond the clock: the higher bid wins, and the earlier bid wins ties.

Today is its own board, scoped to bids placed since midnight UTC. Daily keeps a permanent archive — one closed board per day, forever. Categories run the same all-time mechanic scoped to one vertical at a time.
